So you've decided to get an Arctica Solar Air Heater, but your curious about one thing - how does the heater get to your delivery address?
If you are in the continental US your heater will arrive through freight or ground shipping services, depending on the type of heater purchased.
Ground delivery services are typically left without requiring a signature. If a signature is required, please let us know as part of your order.
Freight delivery services are generally requested as appointment delivery only, with liftgate and residential delivery services. However, not all locations and carriers can accommodate liftgate and residential delivery services. If a truck is required to deliver your heater without a liftgate, the heater can typically be removed from the pallet at the delivery location and hand carried off the back of the truck. Freight truck delivery drivers are typically experts at delivering freight safely at its destination.
750 Series Heater - Our 750 series heater is designed to ship at the limits of size for Fed Ex Ground. If shipping from our West Coast warehouse, a single 750 Series heater and the PV Fan kit box (18" x 8" x 4") will come in the same 42" x 34" x 10" wide box pictured below. If shipping from our East Coast warehouse, the PV Fan kit box will come as a separate shipment.
Two 750 Series heaters come in a single 42" x 34" x 10" box with the glass side of each heater facing inwards for protection. PV Fan kits sold with dual 750 Series heater orders will come in a separate 18" x 8" x 4" shipped box.
1500 Series Heater - Our most popular 1500 Series heater ships freight in one of several packaging styles. Single 1500 Series heater orders will likely ship in a dedicated wood crate. PV Fan kit orders will be attached to the top of the crate as shown below.
Arctica will email you a picture of your heater right before it leaves our warehouse, and we encourage all customers to carefully inspect their heater before accepting delivery from the carrier. Please make sure your heater is in tact, there are no missing boxes, no crushed "No Stack" cone, no visual or audible signs of broken glass or other carrier damage. If damage is suspected please take a picture of the heater shipment, email the picture to info@arcticasolar.com with your order number, or text us a picture at 714-698-9779, and refuse delivery from the carrier.
1500 Series heaters can also ship on a dedicated pallet with a wood protective topper. If multiple 1500 Series heaters are ordered this is a common shipping technique.
2000 & 4000 Series Heaters - Our 2000 Series heater and 4000 Series heater orders ship on dedicated pallets with transition ducts and other order hardware on top of the protective topper.
As with our 1500 Series orders, Arctica will email you a picture of your heater right before it leaves our warehouse, and we encourage all customers to carefully inspect their heater before accepting delivery from the carrier. Please make sure your heater is in tact, there are no missing boxes, no crushed "No Stack" cone, no visual or audible signs of broken glass or other carrier damage.
